We have workshops and community service work days throughout the year to design and construct quilts for donation to families and organizations in Aransas County. The Community Service Projects include Quilts 4 Kids, Quilts for Heroes, Fire Quilts, Habitat for Humanity, Quilts & Pillows for Nursing Homes along with monetary donations given to local service organizations. We raise money through our biennial quilt show and our donation quilt. The following are some of the places we service through our Coastal Bend Philanthropy program:

QUILT GUIDELINES 100% cotton materials preferred for both fabric and batting. These are suggested finished sizes for quilts and are approximates. Use your best artistic judgment. Many of the quilts made with 42” width are for thrifty use of width of fabric for the backing.
Nursing Home Quilts:
- Fabrics and designs your grandmother or grandfather would like. These quilts generally are used on the lap of adults in wheelchairs rather than on beds. Fidget quilts are smaller and contain items that would stimulate the mind and hands.

Quilts 4 Kids
- “Kid friendly” patterns. Fabrics in bright, bold colors/prints/pastels for either boys or girls. Larger quilts for high school boys/girls in more sophisticated pattern and colors.

- Quilts of a small nature, finished and quilted. Will have ties added with prayers added at the time of need.
